Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons in well-resourced laboratories, following the Edexcel GCSE and A Level curricula.
- Plan and implement engaging, practical-based teaching strategies that promote deep conceptual understanding.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing detailed feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development of the Chemistry department through collaboration and innovation in teaching methods.
- Support students in preparing for public examinations and extracurricular science competitions.
- Participate in the academic, pastoral, and extra-curricular life of the school.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in Chemistry.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality science education at GCSE and A Level.
- Experience in fostering student motivation and academic excellence.
- Strong subject knowledge and commitment to practical, inquiry-based learning.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching in a high-achieving academic environment.
- Familiarity with science competitions and Olympiads.
- Experience in supporting students through university applications and Oxbridge admissions.
- Experience with inclusive and innovative teaching methods.
