The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Science Technician to support the Science faculty with practical resources and facilities across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who values safety, creativity, and collaboration in a dynamic educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage practical resources and facilities for the entire science curriculum.
  • Ensure the safe and proper treatment and disposal of used materials in accordance with health and safety policies.
  • Contribute to the design, construction, and development of specialist resources and displays.
  • Support teachers and pupils in delivering engaging and effective science lessons.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment in all science laboratories.
  • Assist in the management of science equipment and inventory.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to enhance the science learning experience.
  • Stay up to date with developments in science education and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a science-related field or relevant qualification.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Background in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
