The Opportunity:

As a Physics Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of students through engaging, inquiry-based learning. You will support the development of international mindedness and create an environment where every student can thrive and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver rich, engaging, and challenging learning experiences aligned with the IB curriculum.
  • Foster a student-centered, inquiry-based learning approach that encourages critical thinking and curiosity.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and enhance student progress.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting a culture of creativity, collaboration, and international awareness.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the development of a cohesive and supportive community.
  • Provide individualized support to students of all abilities to ensure their academic and personal success.
  • Stay up to date with educational trends and continuously improve teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Physics or a related field, with a PGCE in Education and QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience teaching in a reputable school.
  • Experience in IB or GCSE subject-specific teaching.
  • Strong track record of outstanding student results and academic achievement.
  • Advanced English language skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity.
  • Strong intercultural awareness and the ability to engage effectively with students and parents.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB programme.
  • Knowledge of assessment strategies and their use in the classroom.
  • Passion for stretching students to achieve their potential and beyond.
  • Flexibility and a positive, problem-solving attitude.
