Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry to GCSE and Key Stage 3 Science standards.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Support the development of A Level or Level 3 Applied/BTEC Science, Health & Social Care, or Child Development courses.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the Science curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and staff development activities.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students where appropriate.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and the school’s Enrichment programme.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry to GCSE level.
  • Ability to teach Science at Key Stage 3.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level or Level 3 Applied/BTEC Science, Health & Social Care, or Child Development.
  • Previous experience in an academy or similar setting.
  • Involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities.
