Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry to GCSE and Key Stage 3 Science standards.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Support the development of A Level or Level 3 Applied/BTEC Science, Health & Social Care, or Child Development courses.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the Science curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
- Participate in departmental meetings and staff development activities.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students where appropriate.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and the school’s Enrichment programme.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
- Experience teaching Chemistry to GCSE level.
- Ability to teach Science at Key Stage 3.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level or Level 3 Applied/BTEC Science, Health & Social Care, or Child Development.
- Previous experience in an academy or similar setting.
- Involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities.
