The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced History and Politics Teacher to join our dynamic Humanities Faculty. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on students' learning and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality History and Politics lessons to students from KS3 to A level.
  • Support student progress through individualised teaching and pastoral involvement.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and the wider school community.
  • Engage students with innovative and inspiring teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience across the Humanities Faculty.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student performance.
  • Support extracurricular activities related to History and Politics.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in History and Politics.
  • Experience teaching History at Key Stage 3 and A level.
  • Commitment to student progress and pastoral care.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Politics at A level.
  • Ability to teach other KS3 Humanities subjects.
  • Experience working in an inclusive and supportive school environment.
  • ECTs or experienced teachers looking for a new opportunity.
