The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join our Senior School team. The role involves teaching Cambridge IGCSE Co-ordinated Sciences (Double Award), IGCSE Chemistry, and A Level Chemistry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Cambridge IGCSE Co-ordinated Sciences (Double Award), IGCSE Chemistry, and A Level Chemistry to students across a range of ability levels.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, resource, and develop science curriculum content.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic achievement through effective classroom management.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential by providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school and participate in extra-curricular activities.
  • Stay up to date with developments in science education and incorporate new teaching methodologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree from a British university.
  • A PGCE or equivalent qualified teacher status with a Chemistry specialism.
  • Native level English speaking ability.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proven classroom management skills and high expectations of student behaviour and effort.
  • Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for students at all levels.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an independent or international school.
  • Recent teaching experience in a UK-based school.
