The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in advanced Mathematics to secondary school students preparing for their IGCSE and A-Level examinations. You will play a key role in fostering a positive learning environment that encourages academic excellence and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons aligned with the UK A Level curriculum
- Design and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth
- Utilize educational technology to enhance the learning experience
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
- Engage with parents and students to ensure a strong understanding of academic goals and progress
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the secondary level
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Mathematics topics relevant to A Levels
- Experience teaching IGCSE and A Level Mathematics students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools
Preferred
- Experience with UK A Level curriculum
- Leadership experience or willingness to take on leadership roles within the department
- Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching methodologies
- Experience with student-centered teaching approaches
