The Opportunity:

As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in advanced Mathematics to secondary school students preparing for their IGCSE and A-Level examinations. You will play a key role in fostering a positive learning environment that encourages academic excellence and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons aligned with the UK A Level curriculum
  • Design and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance the learning experience
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Engage with parents and students to ensure a strong understanding of academic goals and progress

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the secondary level
  • Strong knowledge of Advanced Mathematics topics relevant to A Levels
  • Experience teaching IGCSE and A Level Mathematics students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools

Preferred

  • Experience with UK A Level curriculum
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on leadership roles within the department
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching methodologies
  • Experience with student-centered teaching approaches
