The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering a love for science and encouraging academic excellence. You will contribute to a dynamic and innovative Science Faculty that is focused on continuous improvement and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to students across all key stages, including A Level
  • Develop and implement engaging, evidence-based teaching strategies that promote student learning
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science Faculty’s reputation and standards
  • Support the school’s commitment to innovation and continuous professional development
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their potential
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral care
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Relevant degree in Chemistry or a related science subject
  • Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Ability to teach Chemistry to A Level
  • Commitment to student achievement and a passion for science education

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong Science Faculty
  • Experience with evidence-based teaching methods and innovative learning approaches
  • Experience with CPD and professional development
  • Experience working in a mixed comprehensive school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
