The Opportunity:
As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering a love for science and encouraging academic excellence. You will contribute to a dynamic and innovative Science Faculty that is focused on continuous improvement and student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to students across all key stages, including A Level
- Develop and implement engaging, evidence-based teaching strategies that promote student learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science Faculty’s reputation and standards
- Support the school’s commitment to innovation and continuous professional development
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their potential
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral care
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Relevant degree in Chemistry or a related science subject
- Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Ability to teach Chemistry to A Level
- Commitment to student achievement and a passion for science education
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong Science Faculty
- Experience with evidence-based teaching methods and innovative learning approaches
- Experience with CPD and professional development
- Experience working in a mixed comprehensive school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
