Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Health and Social Care or Child Development.
- Support students in developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for further study and employment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum.
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and pastoral care where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Health and Social Care or Child Development.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Commitment to the school’s Christian ethos and values.
- Experience working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting with a strong pastoral care focus.
- Familiarity with post-16 education and curriculum development.
- Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
- Ability to contribute to CPD and mentorship programmes.
