The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join its team and contribute to the development of a dynamic and inspiring curriculum. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Geography lessons that inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes critical thinking, geographical understanding, and real-world application.
- Support student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing targeted feedback and interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Stay up to date with current geographical issues and incorporate them into teaching to make learning relevant and engaging.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support student engagement and school culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
- Experience in teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with outdoor education or environmental learning.
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience with data analysis and student progress tracking.
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or collaborative environment.
