The Opportunity:

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Early Career Teacher or experienced practitioner to make a real impact on student learning and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Geography lessons that inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes critical thinking, geographical understanding, and real-world application.
  • Support student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing targeted feedback and interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Stay up to date with current geographical issues and incorporate them into teaching to make learning relevant and engaging.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support student engagement and school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Experience in teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with outdoor education or environmental learning.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Experience with data analysis and student progress tracking.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or collaborative environment.
