The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher (KS3-KS5) to join a dynamic and successful department. This role offers the opportunity to teach across key stages and contribute to a thriving Science Faculty. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students and delivering high-quality education in a well-resourced and innovative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies to support student learning.
- Work collaboratively with the Science Faculty to enhance the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of professional development sessions for colleagues.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate these into teaching.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through involvement in extra-curricular and community activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in leading extracurricular activities or STEM initiatives.
- Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
- Experience with A Level Chemistry and high-achieving students.
- Previous experience in a school with a strong Science department.
