The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher (KS3-KS5) to join a dynamic and successful department. This role offers the opportunity to teach across key stages and contribute to a thriving Science Faculty. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students and delivering high-quality education in a well-resourced and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies to support student learning.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science Faculty to enhance the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of professional development sessions for colleagues.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate these into teaching.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through involvement in extra-curricular and community activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading extracurricular activities or STEM initiatives.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
  • Experience with A Level Chemistry and high-achieving students.
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong Science department.
