The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students at all key stages, including A level.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
  • Support student progress through individualized feedback and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and mentorship programs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture aligned with the school's Christian values.
  • Engage with the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience teaching Geography at key stage 3 and 4.
  • Ability to teach Geography to A level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with CPD and mentoring.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices.
  • Experience working in a Church of England school or similar environment.
  • Passion for outdoor learning and fieldwork.
