Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, and deliver high-quality learning experiences that engage and challenge students
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student confidence and responsibility
  • Support students in achieving academic success through individualized instruction and targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and teaching practices
  • Participate in professional development and regular CPD sessions to maintain and improve teaching standards
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and statutory requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
  • Experience in teaching English at secondary level
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a second language
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
  • Familiarity with current educational trends and technologies
  • Experience in pastoral support or student mentoring
