Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and deliver high-quality learning experiences that engage and challenge students
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student confidence and responsibility
- Support students in achieving academic success through individualized instruction and targeted interventions
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and teaching practices
- Participate in professional development and regular CPD sessions to maintain and improve teaching standards
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and statutory requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
- Experience in teaching English at secondary level
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience with teaching English as a second language
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
- Familiarity with current educational trends and technologies
- Experience in pastoral support or student mentoring
