The Opportunity:

As Chief Education Officer, you will lead the educational vision and strategy of the school, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of education within a forward-thinking academy trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee quality assurance, school improvement, and curriculum strategy across the academy trust.
  • Work closely with the CEO and Executive Team to drive an ambitious vision for educational excellence.
  • Ensure consistency in standards, outcomes, and inclusion across all schools and settings.
  • Support schools in delivering future-ready education that empowers students to succeed.
  • Build and sustain high-performing leadership teams and a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Champion evidence-informed practice and professional learning across the trust.
  • Oversee safeguarding and school improvement initiatives to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with Trust Board and school leaders to implement the Trust’s 5-year strategy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in senior educational leadership roles, preferably within an academy trust or similar setting.
  • Strong track record in school improvement, quality assurance, and curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with a focus on educational equity and inclusion.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation of long-term educational visions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work at the highest level of the organisation.

Preferred

  • Experience in creative, digital, or technical education sectors.
  • Knowledge of the West Midlands education landscape and its creative and digital industries.
  • Experience in leading large-scale organisational change and development.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
