Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in carpentry and multi-skills to students at Further Education level.
- Collaborate with Senior Lecturers and the Head of Department to ensure industry-standard delivery and student success.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations to enhance the curriculum and teaching methods.
- Support students in achieving work-ready skills for employment or further education.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of vocational training that aligns with industry needs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s educational programs and facilities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students to support their personal and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in carpentry and construction, preferably in Further Education.
- A qualification in carpentry or a related field.
- Experience in teaching or training within a Further Education setting.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering vocational curricula.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Ability to work flexibly, including part-time or full-time roles.
- Experience with industry innovation and best practices in construction.
