Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in carpentry and multi-skills to students at Further Education level.
  • Collaborate with Senior Lecturers and the Head of Department to ensure industry-standard delivery and student success.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations to enhance the curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Support students in achieving work-ready skills for employment or further education.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of vocational training that aligns with industry needs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s educational programs and facilities.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students to support their personal and professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in carpentry and construction, preferably in Further Education.
  • A qualification in carpentry or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching or training within a Further Education setting.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering vocational curricula.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including part-time or full-time roles.
  • Experience with industry innovation and best practices in construction.
