The Opportunity:
As a Design Technology Technician, you will support the delivery of Design Technology across Key Stages 3 to 5, helping students develop technical skills and creativity. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and eager to contribute to a dynamic and inspiring learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessons.
- Support teaching staff in delivering engaging and hands-on Design Technology lessons.
- Ensure a safe and well-organized environment for students and staff.
- Assist in the development of resources and lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
- Provide guidance and support to students during practical sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and promote student achievement.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and consumables.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to health and safety standards in a school environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Design Technology curriculum delivery.
- Knowledge of CAD or other design software.
- Experience with teaching or supporting students in a practical learning environment.
- Background in education or a related field.
