Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Citizenship and RE lessons that align with the school’s values and curriculum expectations.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Promote positive behavior and a safe learning environment for all students.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Citizenship and RE education and incorporate these into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Citizenship and RE.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Citizenship and Religious Education.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Commitment to student welfare and behavior management.
  • Experience working in a school environment, ideally within a similar setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools in the classroom.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on community and relationships.
  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
