The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Religious Studies Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the religious studies curriculum and supporting student development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons tailored to the needs of students across the age range.
  • Plan and prepare engaging and effective teaching materials and programmes.
  • Monitor and support student progress, ensuring all pupils have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Promote the school’s core values of respect, kindness, and aspiration within the classroom.
  • Support students with special educational needs where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care and well-being of students.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Commitment to child protection and safeguarding
  • Evidence of continuous professional development

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Religious Studies at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Experience with pastoral support and student welfare
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
