The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and implement the school curriculum to meet the needs of all children in the assigned class.
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated learning experiences that support diverse abilities and talents.
  • Observe and evaluate the progress of each child to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Create a warm, friendly, and supportive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain discipline and encourage positive behavior in line with school policies.
  • Design and maintain an engaging, stimulating learning environment through classroom displays and organization.
  • Build and maintain strong, communicative relationships with parents and carers.
  • Collaborate effectively with other teachers, assistants, and school staff to support students and enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant teaching qualification with a passion for education.
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum for the assigned year group.
  • Confidence in using IT to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to engage and support children of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Previous experience teaching in a London pre-prep setting.
  • Experience in fostering a collaborative and uplifting school environment.
  • Involvement in the wider life of the school community.
