The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Class Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with complex needs in a school that values creativity, collaboration, and high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to students with a range of complex learning needs, including PMLD, SLD, MLD, ASD, ADHD, and speech and language impairments
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support student progress and achievement
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices across the school
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development to maintain and enhance teaching standards
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback to students and parents
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and life skills to prepare them for future independence

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in special education
  • Commitment to working with students with a wide range of complex learning needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire students and colleagues
  • Fluency in English to deliver all spoken aspects of the role

Preferred

  • Experience working in mainstream or special education settings
  • Experience with students with PMLD, SLD, or ASD
  • Background in teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in curriculum development or innovative teaching practices
  • Strong record of student achievement and progress
