The Opportunity:
As Head of School, you will lead the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of a school dedicated to supporting students with complex needs. This role offers the chance to shape a school culture, inspire a team, and make a lasting impact on student lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion outstanding academic, social, and emotional outcomes for every student
- Lead the strategic vision, culture, and performance of the school in line with core values
- Create a safeguarding-first culture that prioritises student wellbeing and safety
- Inspire and develop a high-performing, motivated teaching and leadership team
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted, DfE, and statutory requirements
- Oversee strategic planning, financial sustainability, and long-term growth
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Minimum of three years’ senior leadership experience within SEN/SEMH settings
- Proven experience leading a special school or specialist provision
- Extensive experience working with complex autism, including pre-verbal pupils
- A primary education background
- Strong curriculum leadership and assessment expertise
- A full UK driving licence
Preferred
- Experience in strategic planning and financial management
- Leadership experience in a school with a similar ethos or mission
- Experience in developing and leading high-performing teams
Compensation & Benefits:
