Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 students.
  • Create engaging and innovative lesson plans that inspire student learning.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide curriculum initiatives.
  • Support students through effective assessment, feedback, and pastoral care.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and attainment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in English.
  • Experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Key Stage 5.
  • Creative and forward-thinking approach to teaching and learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support others in the department.
  • Familiarity with research-based teaching practices.
