The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in History and Geography to students across all key stages.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and critical thinking.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a cohesive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the school.
• Support the school’s mission by promoting cultural awareness and community values in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
• Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualifications.
• Proven experience in teaching History and Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for individual and shared goals.

Preferred

• Experience in delivering Geography at Key Stage 5.
• Familiarity with Sikh and British cultural values.
• Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Previous experience in a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
