The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in History and Geography to students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and critical thinking.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a cohesive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the school.
- Support the school’s mission by promoting cultural awareness and community values in the classroom.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualifications.
- Proven experience in teaching History and Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for individual and shared goals.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering Geography at Key Stage 5.
- Familiarity with Sikh and British cultural values.
- Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Previous experience in a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
