The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students in the mainstream school and the Alternative Resourced Provision (ARP), helping them reach their full potential through individualised intervention. This role is ideal for both experienced TAs and graduates looking to build a career in education. You will work closely with students, teachers, and key staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students through 1:1 and small group interventions, both in and out of the classroom.
- Collaborate with class teachers and key staff to plan and deliver individualised learning strategies.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and academic progress.
- Remove barriers to learning by providing high-quality academic support and maintaining high expectations.
- Work flexibly across different settings, including mainstream and specialist provisions.
- Contribute to a supportive and inclusive school culture that fosters student growth and development.
- Assist in the delivery of stimulating and challenging learning experiences aligned with the school’s STEM focus.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities.

Required
- Proactive, positive, and resilient approach to working with students.
- Ability to build strong professional relationships with students and colleagues.
- Experience or willingness to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to fostering a student-centred, inclusive learning environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
- Graduate qualification or ongoing studies in education or a related field.
- Experience with autism support or specialist provisions.
- Familiarity with STEM-based learning and curriculum delivery.
- Experience with the use of technology in education.
