The Opportunity:

As a Primary Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a student with additional needs, helping them thrive in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child’s educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the student in engaging with class activities and interactions in line with school expectations.
  • Provide regular feedback to the student and teacher about their progress and achievements.
  • Implement strategies, in collaboration with the teacher, to help the student succeed in each lesson.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a positive, purposeful learning environment.
  • Monitor and record the student’s responses and progress as directed by the teacher.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and parents about the student’s development and needs.
  • Encourage the student to build independence and self-regulation skills.
  • Foster strong, positive relationships with parents and external support services.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Empathy, patience, and a positive, professional mindset.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with additional needs.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
  • Experience in a multicultural or international school setting.
  • Previous teaching experience or relevant qualifications.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £24,000–£29,000 per annum.
