Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver challenging, differentiated lessons that engage and motivate students.
  • Set and mark homework in line with the school’s policies to support student progress.
  • Use data and information to tailor learning experiences and ensure academic growth.
  • Stay informed on developments in Classics education to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Contribute actively to the school’s co-curricular programme, supporting student development beyond the classroom.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Classics to align teaching with the school’s academic vision.
  • Ensure all students receive a well-structured and meaningful programme of study.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and colleagues to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Classics.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching Classics.
  • Experience in developing and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Familiarity with assessment and marking policies.
  • Commitment to student progress and academic excellence.
  • Ability to contribute to a co-curricular programme.

Preferred

  • Experience in a selective or independent school setting.
  • Leadership experience or potential within the department.
  • Experience with differentiated teaching strategies.
