Facilities Manager needed to oversee maintenance and safety at a school.

The Opportunity:
As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of a school’s buildings and grounds. You will lead the Site Team and manage all aspects of maintenance, improvement, and safety. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards that support a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of the school’s buildings and grounds.
- Supervise and support the Site Team to ensure all duties are completed to a high standard.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to site maintenance and improvement.
- Conduct routine and systematic in-house checks to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure all facilities meet the needs of students, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed and maintained across the site.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of maintenance schedules and improvements.
- Monitor and manage budgets related to facilities management and maintenance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and building maintenance standards.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred
- Experience in managing large or complex sites within a school environment.
- Familiarity with Jewish educational institutions or values.
- Knowledge of sustainability and energy efficiency practices in facility management.
- Experience with the use of facility management software and systems.
