The Opportunity:
As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across multiple sites. This is a vital position that supports the school's mission to provide a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise cleaning staff across multiple locations to ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols in line with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and report on the performance of cleaning teams to ensure consistency and quality.
- Coordinate with other departments to address any maintenance or hygiene-related concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and regulations.
- Support the school's commitment to sustainability by promoting environmentally responsible cleaning practices.
- Train and mentor cleaning staff to improve their skills and confidence.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure all areas meet the required standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a Cleaning Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Preferred
- Experience working within an educational setting or multi-academy trust.
- Understanding of sustainable cleaning practices.
- Experience with flexible working arrangements.
