The Opportunity:
As a College Adviser, you will play a vital role in guiding students aged 11–16 through their educational journey. You will inspire and support young people in making informed decisions about their future, while building strong relationships with schools, students, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging presentations and information sessions in secondary schools
- Provide honest and inspiring advice to students about college pathways
- Support recruitment activities including school events and college open days
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and school careers teams
- Create and share resources that promote college courses and opportunities
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from school to college
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Significant experience working directly with secondary school aged students (ages 11–16), ideally within a school or structured outreach setting
- Valid driving licence for 2 years + with under 6 points
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain options clearly and simply
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload
- Energetic, approachable, and confident speaking to groups
Preferred
- Experience with school careers teams or educational outreach
- Experience in delivering information sessions or workshops
- Knowledge of college pathways and admissions processes
