The Opportunity:
As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will be instrumental in strengthening the connection between the school and its parent community. You will lead parent communications, manage the Parent Association, and coordinate events that foster engagement and collaboration. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation, distribution, and management of all parent communications, including newsletters, announcements, and event reminders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for parent inquiries, providing prompt and professional responses.
- Manage and nurture the school’s Parent Association, ensuring active participation and collaboration.
- Develop strategies to engage parents in school initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and student activities.
- Coordinate with class representatives to facilitate communication between parents and the school.
- Organise and support events that foster a sense of community among parents, students, and staff.
- Manage the production and distribution of the school’s weekly newsletter and annual yearbook.
- Coordinate logistics for all school events, including invitations, venue preparation, and volunteer management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Education, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a school or educational setting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, social media platforms, and email marketing tools.
- Experience with event planning and coordination.
Preferred
- Arabic language proficiency.
- Experience with parent engagement initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale communications or events.
