Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in IB DP History and Global Politics.
  • Support the development of international-mindedness across the school.
  • Plan and implement rich, inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and school leaders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Advanced-level English language skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in History, Global Politics, or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience teaching in a reputable school.
  • Experience in an IB or GCSE school.
  • A track record of achieving outstanding student outcomes.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity.
  • Strong communication and intercultural awareness.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB programme.
  • Experience in developing and delivering inquiry-based learning.
  • Knowledge of assessment strategies and their use in the classroom.
  • Experience in planning and delivering rich, engaging learning experiences.
