Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote inquiry-based learning and student-centered approaches.
  • Support the development of international-mindedness across the school.
  • Plan and implement rich learning experiences aligned with the IB curriculum.
  • Assess student progress effectively and use assessment to drive learning outcomes.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to create a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Participate in professional development and community events.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and student achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience teaching in a reputable school.
  • Experience in IB or GCSE subject-specific teaching.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of outstanding student results.
  • Proficient/advanced-level English language skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB programme.
  • Knowledge of assessment and its use in the classroom.
  • Inter-cultural awareness and enthusiasm for engaging with students and parents.
