The Opportunity:
As a Compliance Officer, you will ensure the school operates in full compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. This role is essential in promoting a culture of compliance across all areas of school activity and supporting the school’s ongoing commitment to excellence and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
- Monitor and review school procedures to maintain compliance standards.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on compliance matters.
- Liaise with the in-house Legal Advisor to address compliance issues.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement policies to strengthen compliance culture.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on compliance activities.
- Support the Compliance Administrator with part-time assistance as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles.
- In-depth knowledge of UK education laws and regulations.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a school or educational environment is essential.
Preferred
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Familiarity with curriculum and educational reforms.
- Knowledge of DBS and reference procedures.
- Experience in managing compliance audits or training programs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary, circa £63,000 (based on full-time equivalent).
