The Opportunity:

As a Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the school’s compliance systems. You will ensure that the school meets all legal and regulatory requirements, supporting the leadership team in upholding the highest standards of governance, health and safety, and data protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain compliance and assurance systems across all areas of the school.
  • Ensure the school meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise the Headteacher and senior leadership team on compliance and legal matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance-related activities.
  • Monitor and review policies to ensure they align with current legislation.
  • Support the school in audits and inspections by external bodies.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance and quality assurance matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a culture of compliance throughout the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE Maths and English (Level 4 and above)
  • Experience in administration, compliance, or business support
  • Experience of working in a school environment
  • Confident and competent in using day-to-day IT
  • Commitment to the ethos and values of the school

Preferred

  • Experience in governance or regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of data protection laws and health and safety regulations
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in managing compliance documentation and records
