Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a dynamic and up-to-date Computer Science curriculum, including programming and computational thinking.
  • Motivate and inspire students to excel in Computer Science through creative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies.
  • Support students in gaining hands-on experience through industry placements and T-Level media industry links.
  • Contribute to the school’s growing esports provision and ensure it aligns with educational goals.
  • Promote the importance of technology in education and ensure all students are equipped for future careers.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Engage in evidence-informed pedagogy and commit to continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Computer Science.
  • Strong knowledge of programming and computational thinking.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and real-world computing lessons.
  • Experience in evidence-informed teaching practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in esports or digital media education.
  • Familiarity with T-Level qualifications and industry partnerships.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
  • Strong leadership or team collaboration experience.
