The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated History Teacher with the potential to teach A-Level Politics (Edexcel) to join their team from September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students and make a real impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality History and Politics lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Plan and deliver A-Level and GCSE courses with a focus on student outcomes.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to support student learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or currently working towards it.
  • Proven experience in teaching History at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Ability to teach A-Level Politics (Edexcel) is preferable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A-Level Politics (Edexcel).
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes.
  • Experience with CPD and staff development.
  • Passion for inspiring and motivating students.
