The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated History Teacher with the potential to teach A-Level Politics (Edexcel) to join their team from September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students and make a real impact on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality History and Politics lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Plan and deliver A-Level and GCSE courses with a focus on student outcomes.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and events.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
- Work closely with parents and carers to support student learning and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or currently working towards it.
- Proven experience in teaching History at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Ability to teach A-Level Politics (Edexcel) is preferable but not essential.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching A-Level Politics (Edexcel).
- Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes.
- Experience with CPD and staff development.
- Passion for inspiring and motivating students.
