Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science to students, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- Support the development of innovative teaching methods and resources aligned with the school’s educational goals.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students both inside and outside the classroom.
- Deliver constructive feedback to help students improve and achieve their full potential.
- Act as a Team Lead (Form Tutor), mentoring students and supporting their personal and academic development.
- Incorporate industry insights into teaching, such as guest speakers and industry projects.
- Participate actively in the teaching community through observation, collaboration, and professional discussions.
- Contribute to written assessments, reports, and references for students.
- Prepare students for public examinations and assessments.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree level qualification in a relevant subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE/QTLS).
- Experience in teaching Computer Science/Computing at Level 3 with a strong track record of results.
Preferred
- Enthusiasm for teaching Computer Science to a high standard.
