Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computer Science to students, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Support the development of innovative teaching methods and resources aligned with the school’s educational goals.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Deliver constructive feedback to help students improve and achieve their full potential.
  • Act as a Team Lead (Form Tutor), mentoring students and supporting their personal and academic development.
  • Incorporate industry insights into teaching, such as guest speakers and industry projects.
  • Participate actively in the teaching community through observation, collaboration, and professional discussions.
  • Contribute to written assessments, reports, and references for students.
  • Prepare students for public examinations and assessments.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree level qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE/QTLS).
  • Experience in teaching Computer Science/Computing at Level 3 with a strong track record of results.

Preferred

  • Enthusiasm for teaching Computer Science to a high standard.
