The Opportunity:
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students and delivering high-quality instruction across KS3, IGCSE, and A-Level. You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative faculty and contribute to a vibrant, interdisciplinary learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, challenging learning activities that promote student achievement.
- Foster a positive learning culture where students are motivated to reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the STEAM faculty to develop interdisciplinary projects and approaches.
- Support and contribute to extracurricular and enrichment activities that enhance student learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Stay up to date with developments in computer science and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A university degree and a recognised teaching qualification.
- At least two years of teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of computer science and the ability to teach KS3, IGCSE, and A-Level.
- Commitment to student achievement and a passion for inspiring learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a new and vibrant culture.
- Willingness to meet visa-related requirements for Yangon, Myanmar.
Preferred
- Experience with interdisciplinary teaching and project-based learning.
- Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and international education standards.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and educational technology.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
