The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Secondary English Cover Supervisor to support teaching and learning across the Secondary School. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for education, a strong grasp of the English National Curriculum, and a commitment to student development and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 3 and IGCSE English, as well as other subjects such as Drama or French.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and promote student engagement and achievement.
- Provide pastoral support to students, contributing to their overall development and well-being.
- Participate in the school’s extracurricular programme and contribute to events and competitions.
- Support the House system and assist with House-related activities and events.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s mission of academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience using the English National Curriculum.
- Experience teaching KS3 English and IGCSE English, or other relevant subjects.
- Recognised teaching qualifications.
- Strong understanding of personalised learning, feedback, and assessment.
- Commitment to student development and pastoral care.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level syllabi.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Familiarity with the House system and community engagement.
