The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Computing and IT Teacher to inspire students and prepare them for a technologically driven future. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality computing and IT lessons across key stages, including Cambridge Nationals, GCSE, A-Level, and AAQ courses.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum leader and department team to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results and fostering a love of computing and IT.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate new technologies into the curriculum.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote computing and IT.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through professional development and staff collaboration.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in computing and IT education.
  • Strong knowledge of computing and IT curricula, including Cambridge Nationals, GCSE, and A-Level.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent student outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience with ECT (Early Career Teacher) development or mentoring.
  • Familiarity with AAQ in IT qualifications.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or working with diverse student groups.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Passion for computing and IT and a commitment to continuous professional development.
