The Opportunity:
As a School Business Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing all aspects of school business, including finance, HR, premises, ICT, and administration. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all financial operations, ensuring budgetary compliance and efficient resource allocation.
- Lead and support HR functions, including staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate and manage the maintenance and use of school premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
- Oversee ICT systems and ensure that technology supports teaching and learning across the school.
- Provide administrative support to the headteacher, governors, and senior leaders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance the school’s profile and support recruitment efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in line with the school’s mission and values.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to support the school’s strategic goals and improve overall performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in school business management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and governors.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
- Knowledge of HR practices and procedures, including staff development and performance management.
- Familiarity with educational legislation and compliance requirements.
Preferred
- Experience working in a Catholic school environment.
- Strong understanding of school operations and the ability to support a Catholic ethos.
- Experience in managing ICT systems and supporting digital learning.
- Experience in marketing or public relations within an educational context.
- Ability to contribute to the school’s mission of inspiring excellence and supporting student success.

- Competitive salary range of £42,839 - £49,282.
