Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that are engaging, challenging, and aligned with the curriculum.
  • Support students in developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback and intervention where needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Promote a positive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, perseverance, and a love of learning.
  • Work closely with the pastoral team to support student behaviour and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in maths education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience in delivering effective and engaging lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school with a strong focus on behaviour and pastoral care.
  • Familiarity with the Co-op Academies Trust values and ethos.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
