Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of teachers, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
• Ensure the delivery of a forward-thinking and engaging computing curriculum, including AI and Digital Learning.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of teaching and learning across the department.
• Support the BTEC Quality Nominee role, ensuring quality assurance and consistency in qualifications.
• Promote the use of innovative teaching practices and technologies in the classroom.
• Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide objectives.
• Encourage and support the professional development of all staff within the department.
• Ensure that all students are inspired and motivated to achieve their full potential in computing and digital learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in computing and digital learning.
• Proven leadership experience within a school or educational setting.
• Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment practices.
• Experience in managing and supporting a team of teachers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student success.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching AI or related subjects.
• Familiarity with BTEC qualifications and quality assurance processes.
• Experience with digital learning tools and platforms.
• Background in promoting and supporting student leadership and aspiration.
