As the Computing Subject Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of computing education. You will lead, support, and motivate a team of teachers, promoting collaboration and innovation in teaching practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of teachers, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
- Ensure the delivery of a forward-thinking and engaging computing curriculum, including AI and Digital Learning.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of teaching and learning across the department.
- Support the BTEC Quality Nominee role, ensuring quality assurance and consistency in qualifications.
- Promote the use of innovative teaching practices and technologies in the classroom.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide objectives.
- Encourage and support the professional development of all staff within the department.
- Ensure that all students are inspired and motivated to achieve their full potential in computing and digital learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in computing and digital learning.
- Proven leadership experience within a school or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment practices.
- Experience in managing and supporting a team of teachers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student success.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching AI or related subjects.
- Familiarity with BTEC qualifications and quality assurance processes.
- Experience with digital learning tools and platforms.
- Background in promoting and supporting student leadership and aspiration.
