The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Plan and implement engaging, inclusive, and challenging curricula that meet the needs of all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
  • Support the school’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Engage with students and parents to build positive relationships and support student success.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that promote student engagement and community spirit.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with instructional coaching or professional development programs.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Leadership experience or interest in taking on leadership roles within the department.
