The Opportunity:

As a Computing Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education in a dynamic, employer-led environment. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a centre of excellence in computing, supporting the delivery of a range of qualifications and the implementation of the T-Level in Digital Software Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Computing to students aged 13–19.
  • Support the successful implementation of the T-Level in Digital Software Development through planning, employer engagement, and work placements.
  • Work closely with the Curriculum Director to ensure the delivery of GCSE, A-Level, and other computing-related qualifications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain a centre of excellence in computing.
  • Engage with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and student employability.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to the overall success and reputation of the institution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computing.
  • Experience teaching Computing at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Ability to deliver a range of qualifications including GCSE Computer Science and A-Level Computer Science.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working in a collaborative, employer-led environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with T-Level qualifications or similar technical education pathways.
  • Experience in employer engagement or work placement coordination.
  • Newly qualified teachers with the potential to develop within a supportive environment.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and programming languages.
