The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher for Boys to join its team. This role involves teaching core PE to boys across Key Stages 3 and 4, as well as contributing to the delivery of CNAT Sport and L3 BTEC Sport qualifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students through sport and enhancing the school’s extracurricular program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and deliver high-quality PE lessons to boys across KS3 and KS4.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of CNAT Sport and L3 BTEC Sport qualifications.
  • Support the development of the school’s extracurricular sports program.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to enhance student engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with school and national standards.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in teaching PE, preferably to boys.
  • Strong knowledge of PE curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering CNAT Sport or L3 BTEC Sport qualifications.
  • Experience in coaching or managing extracurricular sports teams.
  • Experience working with ECTs or new teachers.
  • Passion for sport and physical education in all its forms.
  • Familiarity with the school’s ethos and values.
