The Opportunity:

As an HR Manager, you will lead and develop the HR function across multiple academies in the Yorkshire Cluster. This role offers the chance to shape HR practice, support academy leadership, and drive meaningful improvements in a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee HR operations across multiple academies in the Yorkshire Cluster.
  • Provide line management and mentorship to HR colleagues across the academies.
  • Collaborate with academy Principals and senior leadership to support organisational goals and improve HR practices.
  • Deliver HR training to managers, ensuring consistency and clarity in HR processes.
  • Develop and maintain compliant HR records and documentation, including the Single Central Record.
  • Support the review and development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including managers, staff, and senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and best HR practices across all locations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in HR management, preferably in a multi-establishment organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and correspondence.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring managers to develop their HR capabilities.

Preferred

  • Experience with HR systems and IT tools.
  • Familiarity with the Single Central Record process.
  • Experience in training and development of managers.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement and professional development frameworks.
