The Opportunity:

As a Counselling Tutor, you will teach the Expanding Vision and Practice module on the counselling degree programme. This is a unique chance to share your expertise in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and deliver the Expanding Vision and Practice module to students on the counselling degree programme.
  • Support students in developing their theoretical and practical understanding of counselling.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to enhance student learning and progress.
  • Engage in curriculum development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the programme.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic success.
  • Collaborate with other tutors and support staff to deliver a cohesive and effective programme.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments in line with institutional standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified counsellor with relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in teaching or training within an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of counselling theory and practice.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in a classroom environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in higher education or adult learning.
  • Familiarity with the Expanding Vision and Practice module or similar content.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with online or blended learning methods.
