The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Hairdressing Tutor Level 2 to join our team and support students in developing essential skills in hairdressing. This is a part-time role that offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on learners and contribute to a dynamic, inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching sessions to students on the Level 2 Hairdressing programme.
  • Create and maintain lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student learning outcomes.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in hairdressing to enhance teaching practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification or experience in hairdressing.
  • Proven experience in delivering Level 2 Hairdressing courses.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in adult education or further education settings.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard hairdressing techniques and practices.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and Prevent training.
