The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Media Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves delivering high-quality lessons in Media and Film Studies, supporting students in achieving outstanding results, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Media and Film Studies at A Level and Level 2.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills through media studies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help learners reach their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Media department.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and diversity.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in media and film studies.
  • Support students in preparing for assessments and examinations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Media and Film Studies.
  • Ability to teach A Level and Level 2 courses.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student success and a positive learning environment.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and assessments.

Preferred

  • Experience with newly qualified or early career teachers.
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and diversity initiatives.
  • Experience in developing and delivering enrichment activities related to media studies.
  • Knowledge of current media trends and technologies.
